Today, Behind the Voice's Abhi Jha announced on social media that he will be speaking to Poets of the Fall's Markus Kaarlonen and Olli Tukiainen for an upcoming podcast episode. Alongside the reveal, he has also asked for listener-submitted questions.
Poets of the Fall first rose to international recognition with their debut single Late Goodbye, which originally debuted in Max Payne 2. Since then, they've become closely associated with the Remedy Entertainment universe, with custom tracks including The Poet and the Muse, Children of the Elder God (Alan Wake), Balance Slays the Demon (American Nightmare), Take Control (Control), Herald of Darkness, Dark Ocean Summoning, and Anger's Remorse (Alan Wake 2). Their own songs, War (Alan Wake), The Happy Song (American Nightmare) and Can You Hear Me (Death Rally) have also been featured throughout the years.
While they've created music in collaboration with Remedy for over two decades, for Alan Wake 2, the band took on their alter egos, the Old Gods of Asgard, in physical form, both in-game and on stage for a special debut performance at The Game Awards 2023.
The podcast is no stranger to Remedy's game, over the past couple of years, Abhi has spoken to an array of Remedy actors and developers including Ilkka Villi (Alan Wake, Mr Scratch, Thomas Zane), David Harewood (Warlin Door), Matthew Porretta (Alan Wake, Dr Casper Darling, Mr Scratch) Sam Lake (Alex Casey and Creative Director), Christina Cole (Christina Cole) Janina Gavankar (Kieran Estevez), Kyle Rowley (Game Director), Shawn Ashmore (Jack Joyce, Tim Breaker) and recently Courtney Hope (Beth Wilder, Jesse Faden). If you have any questions for Poets of the Fall, make sure to leave them in the comments on Twitter.
