Just hours ago, Behind the Voice published their latest podcast episode, featuring special guest Courtney Hope, aka Beth Wilder and Jesse Faden!
Throughout their forty-five-minute conversation, Abhi and Courtney talk about a range of topics from Jack and Beth's relationship, the weird world of motion capture, her role within the Remedy Connected Universe and, of course, her reaction to getting the lead role in a video game. In 2016, Courtney Hope made her video game debut portraying Beth Wilder in Quantum Break, a Monarch-infiltrator. The 2016 title was split into two parts; a video game focusing on the heroes and a live-action show focusing on the villains. The complexities of her character led to Hope starring in both, bringing her talents both to traditional cameras and motion capture.
A few years later, she worked with Remedy again, this time as Jesse Faden in Control, a woman looking for her missing brother who stumbles in the role of Director. With both projects tonally different, the stories showcased her extraordinary acting abilities, from the heartbreaking scenes avoiding Monarch at the Bradbury Swimming Pool, to the cool authoritative determination throughout her character's arc at the FBC.
