Poets of the Fall's New Music Video, Requiem for My Harlequin, Now Out!

Poets of the Fall's brand new single, Requiem for My Harlequin, is now out!

The new single, teasing the group's upcoming album, Ghostlight, features the return of the jester in a more chaotic mindset than we've seen them before. Filled with performers, Requiem for My Harlequin is fast-paced, weirdly heartbreaking, and packed with drama and emotion.

Requiem for My Harlequin's music video was directed, cut and graded by Miika Hakala, who also contributed to the story alongside Marko Saaresto, and cinematography alongside Mauri Hiltunen. Henri Ilnen was the gaffer. Catering was provided by Satu Walden. Tiia Öhman was the music video's location manager and still photographer. On location at the G18 Ballroom, Alex Laulajainen was in charge of make-up and hair, with Kupla Erikoisompelimo providing the costume design. The fire and light dancers were from the Belenos Group of Arts. The contortionist was Ramona Reinvall. The Clowns were provided by Tip Top Walkers. Most importantly, the cat's name was Elvis.

The band's vocalist, Marko Saaresto, revealed "Ghostlight is all about dramatic melodic rock and massive, impressive ballads. The first single, Requiem for My Harlequin, is something in between; a massive rock'n roll melodrama, that hurtles on flashing and blaring like a frenzied parade."

Alongside the teaser for the single and official reveal of Ghostlight, pre-orders for the album have gone live, with some exciting goodies! The Backstage Rock Shop, the owner of the POTF's official website, now has a wide selection of bundles featuring new t-shirts, exclusive gold vinyl LPs, cassettes, CDs, signed postcards, and hoodies. A bit of information about the band: Poets of the Fall has had a long history with Remedy, which officially started back in 2003 with Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne. For the game, POTF created their first song, Late Goodbye based on a poem by Sam Lake. Later, the band returned for Alan Wake, creating the custom songs The Poet and the Muse and Children of the Elder God. Their song War, from their album, Twilight Theater, also made an appearance in the game. Balance Slays the Demon was created specifically for Alan Wake's American Nightmare, and The Happy Song (which appeared in the album Temple of Thought) can be discovered in the game. Their latest collaboration took place in Control, with the epic custom song, Take Control. My Dark Disquiet from their album, Ultraviolet, was prominently featured if you know where to look!
