CONTROL Resonant Featured In IGN Live 2026 Day One

IGN Live returned to our screens over the weekend, with a special thirty-minute feature on day one for CONTROL Resonant. The spotlight was split into two parts: a conversation with Creative Director, Mikael Kasurinen, and a panel discussion with Jacob Freeman (GeForce Evangelist, NVIDIA), Pawel Kozlowski (Senior Engineering Manager, NVIDIA) and Elmeri Raitainen (Art Director, Remedy Entertainment).

To kick off the feature, Mikael Kasurinen sat down with Max Scoville at IGN to talk about the demo being shown in previews. As they discussed Resonant, they spoke about the inspirations behind the project, Zoe De Vera, the formation of The Abberrant, and introducing new players to the series. Alongside an interview, Mikael showcased gameplay footage from The Sinkhole, a location located near the start of the game.

In the second part of the feature, the topic moved to the technology supporting the game, including the developer's in-house engine, Northlight.  Jacob Freeman (GeForce Evangelist, NVIDIA), Pawel Kozlowski (Senior Engineering Manager, NVIDIA) and Elmeri Raitainen (Art Director, Remedy Entertainment) took to the stage in this second part to tackle the technical questions; breaking down the cutting-edge tech, including DLSS 4.5, advanced Path Tracing, and next-generation Ray Reconstruction.

The full livestream spans a hefty seven hours, but you can find the CONTROL Resonant segment at the 2:02:20 mark. The video below should get you into the right place!

CONTROL Resonant Hands-On Preview Wrap-Up
[Espoo, Los Angeles, Mexico City, São Paulo, London, Berlin Warsaw] Update #68

This week, Remedy hosted their first hands-on previews of CONTROL Resonant, marking the beginning of their international media tour. Admittance was by invitation only, with select media and influencers handpicked to check out the game in advance. Over the course of their exclusive preview, attendees had the chance to check out the first three hours of the game's opening and speak to the members of the dev team.

In the hot seat for interviews were Mikael Kasurinen (Creative Director), Sean Durrie (Actor, Dylan Faden), Anna-Maria Krönroos (Lead Level Designer), Thomas Puha (Communications Director), and Elmeri Raitanen (Art Director).

While a few websites were able to visit Remedy before their flight to Los Angeles, it was across the ocean where things really kicked off. In LA, previews were held at Annapurna Pictures HQ, coinciding with Summer Games Fest. And in the coming weeks, the team are set to head to Mexico City, São Paulo, London, Berlin, and Warsaw.

The first previews have started to roll in over the past few hours, and as always, we'll do our best to collect as many as possible as they're published. Keep an eye out for updates!

Update: With the promotional tour kicking off at Summer Games Fest and lasting throughout the month, we're going to compile all the previews and interviews in this post to create as complete a guide as possible. If the preview or interview mentions which preview the writer attended, we also include a note alongside their listing. 21/06/2026 15:35 BST

Remedy x iam8bit Reveals New CONTROL Resonant Collection [Pre-Orders End July 6th]

Ten years on from their original collaboration, Remedy Entertainment and iam8bit have revealed a new line of CONTROL Resonant merchandise!

Five pieces have been announced to celebrate the upcoming game, with pre-orders now open until July 6th. Out of the five, four are available for worldwide delivery, with restrictions on the fifth due to it being classed as a dangerous contained FBC mold sample... or a food item, you take your pick.

While preorders are set to close next month, there's already an estimated window for the parcels to reach doorsteps, with Q4 2026 set as the current target.

The collaboration is the second in recent years, following iam8bit's involvement in Remedy's 30th anniversary celebrations. The range was a huge success with items carefully curated from the developer's extensive history. While this latest range is smaller, it's focused on key, in-demand items, allowing strong quality control.

Below is the full list of items, with their official in-depth iam8bit descriptions:

Whether you’re auditing expense reports or dealing with a rogue Altered Item, staying fueled is essential to surviving the job at the Federal Bureau of Control. During those long nights at the office, a trusty coffee mug can start to feel more like a stalwart companion. Heck, by the third cup, it might even start to look like your best friend.

iam8bit and Remedy Entertainment are teaming up once again to bring you a line of incredible collectibles to celebrate CONTROL Resonant, and we just couldn’t resist paying tribute to Remedy’s longtime love affair with a hot cup of joe. This is the CONTROL Resonant: FBC Coffee Mug, a 12 oz premium black mug with a white Federal Bureau of Control Insignia adorning its matte-finished outer wall.

It comes in lovely (and custom!) CONTROL Resonant packaging that’s so nice, you might be tempted to keep it boxed up on your shelf. We won’t stop you, but don’t forget: It’s ready and waiting for the beverage of your choice, too!

A great mission starts with looking good, feeling good, and being prepared. Incidentally, that’s the start of a great outfit, too. iam8bit and Remedy Entertainment know that better than anybody; we keep it fashionable, functional, and just a little bit funky. Here’s the proof.

This is the CONTROL Resonant: FBC T-Shirt. Featuring a bold screen printed FBC logo on both the front and back of an ultra-comfy, preshrunk black t-shirt basic, it’s anything but standard issue. The mid weight 5.3 oz 100% cotton material is sure to keep you warm and snug during those long days (and longer nights) out in the field investigating paranatural phenomena.

Control Resonant FBC Mold Mints with Collectible Tin
$9.99

CONTROL Resonant introduces a number of new threats to Remedy Entertainment's imaginative universe, including the enigmatic and highly invasive micro-organism known simply as “the mold.”

Its sweet, intoxicating aroma invites humans to ingest it, at which point the substance works through their system and takes a firm hold. By then, it’s already too late: The mold has won. Sound appetizing? iam8bit thought so too. That’s why we worked with Remedy Entertainment to bring this cheeky bit of worldbuilding to the real world: The CONTROL Resonant: FBC Mold Mints! These delicious and refreshing mints are indeed edible, so ingest away, dear friend.

Plus, they come in a commemorative collectible tin, designed as a nod to the fictional Federal Bureau of Control and their auspicious methods of evidence collection. The spacious tin, with its removable lid and compact design, is perfect for storing business cards, spare change, and even….other consumables. You’re creative. You’ll figure it out.

Any FBC agent will tell you that protecting your head is an important part of the gig. But looking good while you do it — that’s what separates the good agents from the great ones.

Never fear: iam8bit and Remedy Entertainment are here to level up your field equipment! This is the CONTROL Resonant FBC Agent Hat. Adorned with a woven FBC patch on the front panel, this sturdy adjustable snapback comes in an always-smart shade of government-issued black. It’s cosplay-ready and streetwear-approved, so it’s the perfect subtle signal to other agents (or CONTROL Resonant fans) you might encounter out in the wild.

Control Resonant FBC Hoodie
$59.99

You know in movies or TV shows or games when the stoic, deep-thinking federal agent needs to clear their head during a long, grueling investigation, so they go for a run wearing some kind of super-cool sweat-wear from their respective investigative government branch? iam8bit knows that scene. So does Remedy Entertainment. That’s why we teamed up to bring you a fashionable CONTROL-flavored variety of that same sweet sweat-wear.

This is the CONTROL Resonant: FBC Hoodie. With a bold screen printed FBC logo on the front and back of an ultra-comfy, relaxed fit black basic pullover with kangaroo pocket, it’s anything but standard issue. The mid weight 9.4 oz fleece material is sure to keep you warm and snug during your ever-so-cinematic early-morning jogs.

Remedy Releases Manalan Mailla by Vilma Jää, a New Song for CONTROL Resonant

Since 2010, Remedy has been integrating music into their experiences to add an extra level of depth. While Alan Wake blended licensed music with custom tracks, Alan Wake 2 surprised fans with a beautiful collection of specially crafted pieces. And it looks like CONTROL Resonant is set to continue that wonderful tradition with "Manalan Mailla" by local artist, Vilma Jää.

Coinciding with the release of their Summer Games Fest trailer, Remedy followed up on social media, revealing the song viewers had just gotten a taste of. In their posts, they write, "Manalan Mailla by Finnish ethno-pop artist Vilma Jää is out wherever you find music. Inspired by the Ingrian ensemble runolaulu tradition, you first heard it in our Paranatural Manhattan trailer!"

The song is available now on all music platforms, including Spotify. And similar to Control's Sankarin Tango, the piece is performed in Finnish, the developer's native language.

Plus! If you're interested in an English translation, there's a fan-created video featuring both lyrics. Thank you to LEYLINE for putting in the work to translate it. The video also adds some extra cultural context, stating in its caption, "Manalan Mailla" draws inspiration from Finnish folklore and mythology, particularly Manala, the realm of the dead. The song combines haunting traditional elements with themes of loss, self-discovery, and overcoming darkness."

Remedy Reveals CONTROL Resonant's Paranatural Manhattan Trailer at Summer Games Fest 2026

At the Summer Games Fest 2026 livestream, Remedy revealed a different side to CONTROL Resonant with their Paranatural Manhattan Trailer.

While previous trailers have explored the game's unusual beauty amid the chaos, this latest teaser focuses on its horror elements. The clips show the broken remains of the Federal Bureau of Control and inhuman, twisted creatures stalking the Manhattan streets. While Dylan is shown battling back the horrors, the threat feels too big to be tackled alone.

The darker edge is further emphasised and perfectly captured in its voice-over. The trailer is narrated by Emily Pope, her voice heavy with a sense of loss and exhaustion, as she reveals the changes over the years,  "It’s been seven years. The Oldest House has... fallen. Our Director... Jesse. Well, she’s... missing. Everything we tried to contain is now loose in the streets of Manhattan. This was caused by a new type of hostile resonance. It’s beyond anything that we can currently measure. Our reality is bent to follow an anomalous pattern, warping time. Gravity. Light. Even the way we think. It’s all quite terrifying... and fascinating. All we can do is dig deeper. Keep searching for the solutions in every way we can. Before it’s too late. This is Emily Pope, acting co-director of the Federal Bureau of Control."

CONTROL Resonant to Feature at PC Gaming Show 2026

This week is set to be a big one for CONTROL Resonant. Already at State of Play, Remedy revealed its new story trailer and announced that the game will launch on September 24th, but the news wave has just begun. As well as taking part during IGN Live this weekend, the studio will also be in attendance at the PC Gaming Show.

The PC Gaming Show will be airing on Sunday 7th June, at 8 pm BST (10pm EEST). With a preshow starting thirty minutes earlier, hosted by Frankie Ward and Elz. While the CONTROL Resonant coverage is likely to be in the main show, you might want to set a timer for the pre-show juuuust in case.

For the main event, the hosts are Sean "Day[9]" Plott and Mica Burton, who will kick off the hefty showcase featuring over fifty titles and twenty world premieres. The event's Steam page, prepared in advance for the show, already teases a few adventures to look for, including Total War: WARHAMMER 40,000, Arkheron, Exodus, Beast of Reincarnation, and Rivage, along with other incredible titles. Of course, at the top, there is CONTROL Resonant, with Dylan looking dapper as heck.

Unlike most livestreams, we actually know a little bit about what to expect from Remedy's segment. Both developers and event organisers have revealed on social media that viewers will be treated to new gameplay and a dev interview.

Make sure to mark in your calendar: Sunday 7th June, at 8 pm BST (10pm EEST).

CONTROL Resonant, the Sequel to the award-winning CONTROL, Launches Worldwide on September 24

New Story Trailer Reveals More of Dylan Faden’s Journey
Pre-Orders Available Now

(Espoo, Finland – June 2, 2026) – Today during the PlayStation State of Play digital showcase, Remedy Entertainment announced that CONTROL Resonant, the highly anticipated sequel to Remedy’s critically acclaimed, multi-award-winning CONTROL will launch worldwide on September 24, 2026. Pre-orders for both digital and physical editions are now open for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and Epic Games Store. The PlayStation 5 Digital Deluxe version will also include 48 hours of early access. Standard Editions of the game will be €59.99 / £49.99 / $59.99 (regional pricing may vary). CONTROL Resonant will be published by Remedy Entertainment. Annapurna Pictures is co-financing and co-producing the game as part of a strategic partnership with Remedy Entertainment.

“As he navigates a distorted Manhattan shaped by paranatural forces and shifting realities, the story explores themes of identity, power, and sacrifice. Once a test subject of the FBC, Dylan must now harness his evolving abilities, confront his past, and learn to trust others in a world he was never meant to be part of. In doing so, he must rediscover his humanity - and decide what he’s willing to lose to save what remains,” said Mikael Kasurinen, Creative Director of CONTROL Resonant.

The trailer explores Dylan Faden’s (played by Sean Durrie) dramatic journey as he is sent by the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC) into the heart of a supernatural crisis. A new, otherworldly form of resonance, alongside the Hiss and the Mold, is warping the city as a mysterious cosmic force reshapes reality itself. For this mission, Dylan is joined by a new FBC ally Zoe de Vera, alongside returning fan favorites Simon Arish and Emily Pope from the original CONTROL. With his sister, Federal Bureau of Control Director Jesse Faden, missing, Dylan must step into a role he was never prepared for - humanity’s last line of defense.

“CONTROL Resonant is Remedy Entertainment’s most expansive game ever, complete with incredible gameplay, narrative twists and challenging creativity that will keep old fans and new engaged and entertained like nothing we have created before,” said Johannes Paloheimo, Remedy’s Chief Commercial Officer and head of publishing. “As Remedy is self-publishing CONTROL Resonant, our global marketing efforts will be just as ambitious in its execution and style, evidenced by this inclusion in the State of Play and leading us into Summer Game Fest and beyond. We will have a number of events and opportunities for fans over the summer as we move towards the game’s release on September 24.”

As part of Remedy’s efforts to bring CONTROL Resonant worldwide, the game will be the most localized Remedy game to date. CONTROL Resonant will feature full audio, interface, and subtitles in English, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish (Spain). Additional interface and subtitle support will be available in Korean, Polish, Russian, Spanish (Latin America), Traditional Chinese, Turkish, and Ukrainian.

CONTROL Resonant will also launch with support for GeForce NOW. The Mac version via Steam and the App Store will follow later this year.

CONTROL Resonant Story Trailer & Release Date Revealed at State of Play

With Xbox Games Showcase, Summer Games Fest, IGN Live, PC Gaming Show, and so much more this week, it's a major time for video games. And with CONTROL Resonant due to arrive later this year, anticipation was high for some FBC schenanigans at some of these events. We didn't have to wait long! Kicking off the festivities was PlayStation's State of Play livestream, which shared not only the story trailer for Remedy's next adventure, but a release date and pre-order bonuses.

Mark your calendars for the release of CONTROL Resonant on September 24th 2026!

"As things stand right now, Dylan, you're our only shot at survival."

Fresh from the State of Play event, the latest trailer explores Dylan's trauma and reservations about helping the FBC. With years spent in lockdown and escalating tensions, familiar faces aren't quite as friendly as they once were, and Arish takes a particularly antagonistic stance towards Dylan. Community favourite Emily Pope makes a reappearance in the trailer, a warm voice of reason and clarity against growing panic. There's also Casper Darling who.... maybe that's best left for you to find out below...

The trailer concluded in a series of clips showing off some of the pre-order bundles and bonuses that players can collect. As State of Play is a PlayStation event, naturally, the pre-order bundles were tailored for console owners. We'll be covering all pre-order editions and variantions closer to release date.

As for the time being, we do know that the PlayStation Digital Deluxe Edition of the game has officially been revealed. By purchasing it, players can unlock 48 hours of early access, alongside a digital artbook, soundtrack, extra in-game resources, and the AWE Mission Outfit. Early access begins September 22nd 2026.

And that's not all! If you pre-order the game, there are some additional in-game bonuses for CONTROL Resonant including the Hiss Corruption Outfit and Pickpocket's Tool Artifact.

As an exclusive, PlayStation owners who pre-order the game can also unlock the Occult Outfit. While it looks stunning, I heavily recommend cosplayers do not try to recreate it for a summer convention. Please contact Taffy of UKRC and just ask him about his Koskela waders. Though undoubtedly dapper looking, there has been regret.

CONTROL Resonant To Be Featured at IGN Live

With CONTROL Resonant scheduled to launch later this year, fans are eagerly on the lookout for where we might get our next teaser. PlayStation's State of Play and Summer Games Fest are pencilled in as possible appearances, but one place that we know for sure now is the upcoming IGN Live lineup!

Set for June 6th and 7th, IGN Live is an in-person event held at The Magic Box in The Reef, Los Angeles. Throughout both days, attendees can play the latest games, check out upcoming shows and movies, and view panels, with tickets starting at $25. But that's not all! If you can't make it in person, they will also have an event-long livestream packed with the latest news and interviews.

Creative Director, Mikael Kasurinen, will be at the show to share updates on Remedy's latest game, CONTROL Resonant. As the announcement is very recent, we will make sure to share livestream links and more news closer to the date.

We do know some of the other studios and titles set to feature at the event, including Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, IDW Comics, Rick and Morty, and Avatar: The Last Airbender.
