Throughout 2020, Poets of the Fall have been uploading a special acoustic rendition of their songs each month, recorded at the incredible Alexander Theatre in Helsinki. For August, they did something extra special with a brand new twist on one of their most iconic songs. This month put Lift in the spotlight with Marko's vocals paired with a gorgeous piano backing track.
Lift was the second single from the band's debut album, Signs of Life, and is still one of their most best-loved and iconic songs. It was initially released on September 9th 2004 as a single, with the CD containing a radio edit, the full edit, and a bonus song The Beautiful Ones. Once released, the song reached #8 on the Finnish Top 40 where it remained there for almost three months. For fans who purchased the Signs of Life album, a special login and password were included to unlock an addition Lift (Dramadance Remix) produced by Markus "Captain" Kaarlonen.
