Remedy & 505Games Showcases Control at Guardian Con [Wrap-Up]

505Games and Remedy were in attendance at Guardian Con this past weekend, as we near Control's launch day on August 27th.

The studios were showcasing their upcoming title, which was playable on the show floor for attendees, as well as collecting contact details of content creators who signed on at their "Creator Registration" table. For those who signed up, there was also a giveaway for a one-of-a-kind pair of Control sneakers made for the event by The Marvel Factory.

Promotional t-shirts were also given out to gamers who tried their hand at the game and gave player feedback to either Nelstar (Influencer Relations at 505 Games) or Vida Starฤeviฤ‡ (Associate Community).

A bit about Guardian Con: Originally starting out as a meet-up for Destiny streamers in 2015 called "DestinyCon", the event quickly bloomed the following year into a fully functioning convention with St. Jude's Children Research Hospital at the heart of it all. Since its beginnings, Guardian Con has raised over four million dollars through monthly donations, con attendance and additional events.

This year the event took place between July 5th and 6th at Rosen Shingle Creek (Orlando, Florida). As doors closed, the RareDropCo announced a rebranding of Guardian Con, changing its name into the Gaming Community Expo, and announcing next year's dates as June 27th and 28th.

A bit about St Jude's Children's Research Hospital: The money raised from the event will go to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital which first opened its doors in February 1962 with the goal of researching childhood diseases previously believed to be incurable or dangerous and caring for the patients admitted to them. It's an organisation which has touched a lot of hearts, especially for their dedication and care. To find out more information about the charity, check out their website, HERE.

Throughout the event, photos from the show floor and impressions of the game were posted online, you can check some of them out below:
