Control's Photo Mode Coming Tomorrow!

Mark your calendars, Control's long-awaited photo mode comes out tomorrow!

While slated for a fall launch, a few days ago we received our first hint to the photo mode update as 505Games' Senior Brand Community Manager, Antonela Pounder teased on Reddit that fans can expect to see it "next week". Today, Remedy has confirmed that the update will be going out tomorrow!

In a guest article on the PlayStation Blog, Vida Starčević ( Remedy's Community Manager), revealed that the photo mode will be accessible through the Options menu and will feature a number of features to help you get your perfect shot.

If you've checked out photo modes in games such as Uncharted 4, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, or Horizon Zero Dawn, you should be able to pick up the controls and skills quickly! Players will be able to alter the shot by panning, rolling the camera, or by changing the focus distance, the aperture, or the field of view. Players can also change the subject of the shot by hiding Jesse or other characters, for moments when you just want to focus on the weird and wonderful FBC. Plus there will be a selection of filters to help you get the perfect tone.

We've reached out to Remedy to check whether PC gamers will need a controller to access the photo mode option. In the past, Alan Wake's freecam was only playable on a controller.

While the announcement was made on the PlayStation website, the photo mode update (1.04) will be rolling out on ALL platforms tomorrow.
