Fan Art Fortnight: dagreenpillow

The Alan Wake community has a large group of extremely talented fan artists. Over the next two weeks, we will be spotlighting 14 fans who have created a series of wonderful artwork inspired by Remedy's latest franchise.

Just three more fans to go! Today we are travelling to Malaysia where have work from the lovely, Cuppy also known as dagreenpillow on deviantArt!  You may recognise some of the work from the Remedy forums when we used to have the spotlite feature at the top of the boards. The work is so good, it just had to be reposted for this event!

One of the major things I love about the fan art is the creepy atmosphere. While playing the original title, it was really quite intimidating when the Taken emerged for the first time to ambush the protagonist, and for me, Cuppy's work captures that foreboding atmosphere brilliantly well! The same can be said for the piece inspired by Alan Wake's American Nightmare! Mr Scratch's eyes are an inhuman shade, it also doesn't help that he's looking DIRECTLY AT YOU! The more you look at the American Nightmare artwork the more you begin to notice clever details...like the two dead bodies in the background. Amazing work!

In addition to being a great artist, Cuppy is a Poets of the Fall fan and fellow Nerdfighter! Don't Forget to Be Awesome!

Make sure to check out Cuppy's dA page and art blog!
