10th March 2013 Fan Art Fortnight: Didism

The Alan Wake community has a large group of extremely talented fan artists. Over the next two weeks, we will be spotlighting 14 fans who have created a series of wonderful artwork inspired by Remedy's latest franchise.

I love the art style in American Nightmare, the game had a beautiful cacophony of colours ranging from the rich gold to the deepest purple. I also equally love the artwork it has inspired. Didism has created one of my favourite Alan Wake's American Nightmare fan art pieces, check it out below! I love the busyness of the scene; the rush from the Taken, the asphalt cutter held up high, the power of light, the journey of the individival nails and (my favourite) Alan's expression of being hit in the head by a scythe.

I'm utterly useless at drawing, I love it, but my characters always ends up being a rejected alien idea from Doctor Who. (Ironically when I was younger I did enter a drawing competition for a Doctor Who alien designing competition.) I find it quite fascinating seeing how others have created their work, especially how Didism achieved the drawing above!
