[Spoiler Warning: If you're in the middle of CONTROL Resonant and haven't yet completed the "The Party Won't Stop" side mission, make sure to come back to this post after you complete it. It's an experience best left unspoiled.]
With Halloween just days away, Remedy has released a delicious treat to their YouTube channel: the complete version of "Be What You Want To Be". The piece is accompanied by a video, perfectly edited by their animation team. Originally a joke for the studio's Slack channel, naturally this specific Object of Power couldn't stay contained for long.
Now that we've successfully filled out the required character count for the home page summary, we can get to spoilers!
While the FBC attempted to evacuate Manhattan residents at the first sign of an AWE, not everyone was unfortunate enough to reach the designated evac site. In the side mission "The Party Won't Stop", Dylan investigates the source of strange music heard at the West Incursion Site. His search comes to a close as he tracks down a deadly altered item to an apartment; it's a karaoke machine. Inside, compelled by the music, a group of partygoers are forced to dance until the karaoke song is completed. To restrain the item, Dylan bravely steps up to the microphone. Players then enter a minigame, of sorts, tasked with picking the correct word for Dylan to sing at the end of each line. Get the word wrong, and one of the dancers dies. It's a dark yet delightfully cheerful mission.
The track has now been put to a bizarrely beautiful music video, complete with one very familiar piece of choreography. Check it out below or on the Remedy YouTube channel, HERE!
