While voting for the Golden Joystick Awards 2026 has been open for the past few weeks, the prestigious Ultimate Game of the Year category has just gone live. Delightfully, though perhaps no surprise to players, CONTROL Resonant is among those shortlisted for this final category.
The Ultimate Game of the Year nomination brings Resonant's nominations up to three, having already secured shortlists for both Best Visual Design and Supporting Performer with Frankie Kevich (our Zoe De Vera).
For the GOTY category, the game must have been released between 8th November 2025 and 25th October 2026, a little later than the other categories. For this year's awards, it's tough competition, with CONTROL Resonant sharing the shortlist with 007 First Light, Big Walk, Crimson Desert, Dispatch, Forza Horizon 6, Phantom Blade Zero, Pokémon Pokopia, PRAGMATA, Resident Evil Requiem, STAR WARS: Galactic Racer, and The Blood of Dawnwalker.
Voting is now open to the public until October 30th. The results will be announced at the Golden Joystick Awards in Central London on November 11th, broadcast live on YouTube. Best of luck to Remedy, we will be cheering for you!
