Remedy has posted its second character profile as we count down to the launch of CONTROL Resonant on September 24th. In the hot seat, we have Emily Pope, whose somewhat cursed career progression has led her to become the acting co-director in Jesse's absence.
Alongside the video, Remedy writes, "As Acting Co-Director of the FBC, Emily Pope has been tasked with leading the Bureau during its greatest crisis yet. How will she handle this immense pressure?"
We've already got a little snippet of how Pope's character has changed over the years, and how the pressure of being the co-director of the FBC during one of the most devastating AWEs has weighed down on her. While her scientific curiosity is still there, in previews, it has felt slightly dulled by the seven years of isolation. In trailer voice-overs, her voice is heavy with the continued loss and the pressure of expected endurance.
Pope's character profile reads, "Emily Pope. As a student, Emily Pope's unquenchable thirst for esoteric knowledge quickly caught the eye of the FBC and saw her recruited to the Research Department under Dr Casper Darling. With her quest to understand the paranormal taking precedence above all else, Pope is sometimes blind to the ethical and moral implications of her work. Following her promotion to the Head of Research during the Hiss invasion of 2019, and with Jesse missing, Pope has now taken on the emergency mantle of Acting Co-Director/"
CONTROL Resonant is set to launch on September 24th 2026, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
