Ahead of The Game Awards, Mikael Kasurinen (Co-Creative Director) and Thomas Puha (Communications Director) held a digital event for with selected press, detailing a little more about what's the studio has in store in CONTROL Resonant.
The event consisted of two parts; an early reveal of the trailer and a Q&A session with the two developers. While a lot of the details are naturally still secret, the discussion provided greater insight into how the team are approaching the experience, and Resonant's overall structure.
Through the interviews we learn that both games are seen as the siblings fight to reconnect with each other, that Manhattan has been walled off by a supernatural force, that the Aberrant (Dylan's main weapon) can take multiple forms described as a “paranormal weapon for a supernatural street fight” and that exploration and discovery is at the heart of the experience. (For those who love tracking down each detail, it's going to be exciting.)
Each article takes a different focus depending on the publication and the writer, so it's really interesting to read the different takeaways from the event. Our list above is only a few examples of what has been written.
Below is a selection of previews that we've tracked down. As always, this list will continue to expand throughout the evening and over the next few days as more are posted online:
