Last Night, Sony held their third general State of Play of 2025, focusing on the platform's upcoming games and what's up next for subscribers.
During the broadcast, we got some exciting community news! The next three PlayStation Plus monthly games for October were announced, with Alan Wake 2 temporarily joining the catalogue for subscribers.
Alan Wake 2 will be added to the service on October 7th 2025, alongside Cocoon and Goat Simulator 3. All three will be available for subscribers with Essential, Extra, and Premium membership, so you can play regardless of which service tier you own.
There are a couple of key things to note. Even if you don't play the games straight away, make sure to redeem them in October to unlock the game for your account. Redeemed games are available as long as your subscription is active. In the meantime, make sure to grab Psychonauts 2, Stardew Valley, and Viewfinder ahead of the changeover.
PlayStation Plus is a subscription service available on PlayStation consoles which offers monthly games, cloud storage, online multiplayer, discounts, and a games library, along with much more.
