Lost In Cult's Alan Wake: Design Works Book Now Available for Pre-Order [Signed Edition Now Sold Out]

Earlier today, Remedy and Lost In Cult revealed the upcoming publication of Alan Wake: Design Works, a comprehensive series retrospective celebrating fifteen years of Alan Wake and thirty years of Remedy. That's not all though, if you're seeing this post, it means that pre-orders have officially begun!

Depending on your budget, there are three editions available to purchase; Standard (£49.99), Deluxe or Signed (£124.99). While the Standard is likely to be available following the campaign, as with previous Design Work instalments, both the Deluxe Edition and Signed Edition are a campaign pre-order exclusive; available until October 17th

Those who purchase either of the rarer publications will be able to collet the book with an exclusive Return dust jacket, a map of Bright Falls, crime scene Polaroids (for funsies), an Oh Deer Diner napkin, a Watery postcard, a Coffee World poster, plus the Return script. You will also collect signed cards from Alan Wake actors, Matthew Porretta and Ilkka Villi.

EDIT: Just a heads up, the listing for the Deluxe Edition states, “Signature card with digital signatures from Ilkka Villi & Matthew Porretta”. The handwritten signatures are the dev ones included in the Signed Edition.

If you want to expand your autograph collection, make sure to put in your order as soon as possible. The first 500 orders of Alan Wake: Design Works will also receive hand-signed signature cards from Alan Wake 2 developers Sam Lake, Kyle Rowley, and Janne Pulkkinen.

UPDATE 18/08/2025 - The Signed Edition has now officially sold out! The collection has been an immediate hit, with all 500 early-bird cards selling out within the first ten minutes. As always, if there's a future batch available, we'll let you know. However, the Deluxe Edition, which features everything but the dev signed cards are still available until October 17th.

So, what can we expect in the book? In their press release, the developer teases that the collection is “a one-of-a-kind deep dive into the history, development, and art of the entire Alan Wake franchise. The book is a result of countless hours of interviews with developers and actors who shaped the game series, and includes new insights, development stories, and concept art across 250+ page.”
