Today, Remedy shared a number of developmental updates on patches for both Control and FBC: Firebreak.
With FBC: Firebreak now in the hands of players, the focus for the team has been on strengthening the game, and working towards the release of two additional Jobs coming later in the year. Last week, the studio released a new patch which fixed matchmaking, currency rebalances, and progression upgrades following early reviews.
Following the release, they posted today, "We are aware of some FBC: Firebreak players on PS5 being stuck on the login screen (with the spinning triangle) and some getting disconnected from the game with error code 22001. If you are experiencing these issues, please get in touch with our player support team: https://remedy.helpshift.com/hc/en/3-fbc-firebreak/faq/43-fbc-firebreak-%E2%80%93-how-to-report-bugs-crashes/"
They also add that the studio is looking into reports of players not receiving the Twitch Drops Armor Set after unlocking it on the broadcasting channel. The Overseer Armor Set is separated into three parts, each unlocked after an hour. The full selection includes: gloves (unlocked at the one-hour mark), helmet (unlocked at the two-hour mark) and body armour (at three-hours). Each fit into the deep purple Twitch colour scheme, and plastered with angelic eyes.
That's not all that the developers are working on, with a team investigating issues reported when playing Control on RTX 50 cards. A number of PC owners have posted on the Steam Forums reported that, with ray-tracing enabled, the game will be running at 120+ FPS and then suddenly stutter and crash. In their social media post, Remedy reassured players that, "We've received reports from PC players who are experiencing issues with Control Ultimate Edition on their RTX 50 series cards. A fix for the issue is in progress. There will be an update for PC to address this in the near future, as soon as we're certain that the issue is fixed!"
