Artists & Graphic Designers Accepting Commissions

Last month things began to get... complicated. For many countries, March was the start of the lockdown, which unfortunately meant the start of a lot of uncertainty. Even with government programs going ahead in the coming weeks targeted at those who are employed, furloughed, working from home, self-employed, or even unemployed, no program is perfect and for large sections of society that still means cuts. Throughout this pandemic, life is still going on, there's still food to buy and rent to pay, and with the increase in electricity and gas bills with home-working, getting by is... well, getting tough.

A few weeks ago, we posted a list of international events that were forced to cancel or reschedule due to safety concerns. For a lot of artists especially, this is their main way to showcase their work, to fund their craft, and more importantly to survive.

As someone whose work was also impacted by unexpected cancellations, I know how rough it can be financially right now, so a little while ago I asked if other community members were impacted by the pandemic and how we can help. This could be artists with open commissions, online store owners who are unable to get a booth at a show, anything! If you're working on a project and looking to make it that little bit extra special, please check out the incredible people below!

(If you're an artist who is currently looking for work, let us know and we'll be happy to include you too!)

Mori is a brilliant artist and a familiar name in the Remedy community, who has filled our timelines with incredible artwork over the years. You may also recognise her by her old username Acedhampir, which we used in her Community Spotlight. A self-taught artist, Mori is also a freelance designer and graphic artist. When she's not creating new artwork at her desk, she's a college student studying Business and Human Resources. She also has experience collaborating online, and for Alan Wake's eighth anniversary was one of four artists who worked together to create celebratory art for the milestone. If you're looking for amazing art on a quick turnaround, check out Mori! She is currently accepting commissions, HERE!

Simy is one of those people where I could write pages about. If you're looking for a creative and no-nonsense graphic designer, you should check out Simy! She's based in the Netherlands but is experienced with working from home and getting things done. Her extensive portfolio showcases a number of skills that she has honed over the years. The clients who have approached her have certainly been varied! Over the years she has created graphics for YouTubers guaranteed to make them stand out, as well as marketing companies looking for that minimalistic but sophisticated style. Her services are perfect for those looking to make their page a little more eye-catching. She is currently accepting work, HERE!

Our next spotlighted artist is the incredible Charlie, who joined the community with Quantum Break. As he has found himself currently moving houses, he is looking for commissions that he can work on between unpacking boxes and looking for new adventures. We originally spotlighted Charlie's work back in 2016, but a lot has changed since then; his style has developed and it's obvious that he's been studying and pushing himself with each new piece. Alongside his work in the community, he also designs and publishes his own zines with topics such as poetry, herbs, and identity. If you're looking for incredibly realistic portraits, Charlie's your man! He is currently accepting commissions, HERE

If you've been around the Remedy community, you'll likely know this lovely lady. She doesn't need an introduction, but I'm going to do one anyway! Mary, also known online as Evil-Owl-Loki, is a freelance artist based in Russia. Over the years she has created dozens of gorgeous pieces of artwork focused on the Max Payne, Alan Wake, Quantum Break, and Control series, and lovingly made in her unique style. Her work has also been spotlighted by Poets of the Fall, the real-life band behind Old Gods of Asgard. We've also highlighted her incredible creations with her own Community Spotlight on the site. If you're looking for artwork with a little bit of magic, make sure to check out Mary's page. She is currently accepting commissions, HERE

In addition to artists inside the community, we were also approached by artists outside of our circles who had been impacted by recent events including:

Based in Venezuela, Cermary is a freelance artist who specializes in drawing characters and animals. Her charming style and soft colours are especially perfect for that fantasy or supernatural vibe, but will also suit a range of other genres. You can see the other brilliant commissions she has taken on over the years on her Twitter page, HERE! She is currently open for commissions.

Our final spotlighted artist is Sunil, an independent artist, who is based in Canada. In 2018, Sunil decided to start taking time off from his full-time job in Finance so that they could focus on becoming an artist. Over the years, Sunil has worked with clients across the globe to create logos and illustrations suited for their brand. They are currently open for commissions.
