There are places in our world where fiction and dreams can come true.

8th March 2020
International Women's Day 2020

Today is International Women's Day!

International Women's Day has been celebrated yearly, in some form or another, since 1909. It found its home on 8th of March in 1910 and was later adopted by the United Nations in 1975. Originally a political movement, it's now a day to commemorate inclusivity and the achievements of women across the globe and to reflect on how far we've come and how we have to go in the pursuit of equality.

We've covered the topic in various ways over the years, but today I want to thank all of the amazing women that have worked behind the scenes at Remedy, on titles both past and present.

The people that we see as the public face of the studio, especially during award season, are only a small fraction of the amazing talent, and badass female developers working at the studio. So, whether you're someone who regularly travels for lectures and takes part in interviews between deadlines, or you're someone who works hard behind the scenes, thank you so much being part of the game and contributing your voice to it.

This is equally true of the brilliant female developers who have since begun new adventures elsewhere but made their mark on games such as Alan Wake, Quantum Break, and Control. Thank you!

Remedy would be nothing without its developers.
