Poets of the Fall's Latest Single, Drama for Life, Out Now!
[Updated with Live Facebook Interview]

Poets of the Fall's latest single, Drama for Life, is out now!

With the band moving in a new direction, the single provides a glimpse into what the group has planned for fans in their upcoming album, Clearview. The full album will be released worldwide on 30th September 2016.

The group's latest music video is very minimal; a look that is very different compared to their previous works. This one focuses solely on the singer's, Marko Saaresto's, movements and (as the name suggests) the lyrics. The video was produced and directed by Saku Perintö, with cinematography by Julius Koivistoinen, and editing by Sami Mäkelä. Check it out below!

[Update] 5/8/2016: Talking about the song, Saaresto described "the song is about the workings of the wonderful machine that is the human mind. The machine that can create unique and brilliant new ideas but also cause us so much trouble. So often our minds drive us towards these checkmate situations as if we had this internal designer playing an aggressive game of chess against ourselves". [Source]. The album is currently available for pre-order on the band's official store, via Mad Supply.

A bit of information about the band: Poets of the Fall has had a long history with Remedy, which officially started back in 2003 with Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne. For the game, POTF created their first song, Late Goodbye based on a poem by Sam Lake. Later, the band returned for Alan Wake, creating the custom songs The Poet and the Muse and Children of the Elder God. Their song War, from their album, Twilight Theater, also made an appearance in the game. Their latest project with the developers has been with Alan Wake's American NightmareBalance Slays the Demon was created specifically for the title, and The Happy Song (which also appeared in the album Temple of Thought) also appeared in the game.

UPDATE (9/8/2016): Marko Saaresto (vocals) and Olli Tukiainen (lead guitar) did a live interview on their Facebook page last weekend, where they discussed their new single, their upcoming album, and their imminent tour. The interview spans around thirty minutes and also includes two acoustic songs, Drama for Life and King of Fools. It was a fantastic look into the song creation process, so if you missed the interview, I recommend checking it out on their Facebook page, HERE.
