There are places in our world where fiction and dreams can come true.

Night Springs DLC, Ideas for Next Book

Location: Discovered in the Writer's mansion before heading through the spiral door.

Text: IDEAS FOR NEXT BOOK

- Inventive murder weapons: stapler, lawn gnome, swordfish, philosphy

- Escalate the crime. Plunge the depths of humanity's darkness. A murder religion?

- Hero's Motivation? A rival private eye? His wife returns from the dead only to be killed a second time? Too much? Not enough?

- A waitress character who is intelligent, sophisticated, and good with a weapon. Smells like cinnamon and gunpowder.

Additional Tidbits: Much like Alan Wake's who-created-who debate, it's unclear whether The Waitress is a creation in the Writer's book but made real.

"His wife returns from the dead, only to be killed a second time" is hauntingly familiar to Max Payne 2, which saw Mona Sax seemingly return from the dead after the original but died again at the end of the second game.

"A murder religion" has thematical links to the Cult of the Tree and the Murder Cult.
