Over the weekend, gamers flocked to Shanghai to attend ChinaJoy, an annual, four-day digital entertainment event. With CONTROL Resonant's marketing campaign fully underway, a team flew over to China with some special treats up their sleeve for local fans.
A quick disclaimer! As we're not familiar with the language (our own tests us on a normal day), we've relied on reports from other fans in attendance and from those who were able to translate the material shown. So, what did Remedy showcase? Well...
During the event, Remedy's Senior Community Manager, Vida Starčević, took to the stage to discuss the upcoming game. A photograph taken during her presentation, shared by LewdSkeletor1313 on Reddit, has sparked speculation and intrigue in the community, as a large screen behind her displayed a China-exclusive outfit for Dylan Faden. The new look is elegant and sleek, just take a look...
On the Remedy Discord Server, Hellsalem goes deeper into what is mentioned during the presentation, "A spoiler about whether other countries have organisations similar to the FBC: During the recent Control Resonant playtest event in China, Remedy showcased a Dylan’s outfit. It's named "the Robe of the Expert from the Ministry of Immaterial Objectives". And it is described as "The robe left by the expert from the Ministry of Immaterial Objectives. The Ministry is an official Chinese agency dedicated to discovering and containing supernatural phenomena so as to maintain public order."
The audience was also treated to a new trailer teasing never-before-seen stages of the game, set just after Dylan's awakening. The video has since been posted publicly on Remedy's official bilibili channel. Accompanying the exclusive snippet, the studio writes, "An exclusive Chinese trailer for *Control: Resonance* has been released. This trailer features the first-ever Chinese dub. It also showcases costumes specially designed for Chinese players, paying tribute to the long-standing passion and support of the Chinese player community."

Update [15/08/26]: Over the past two weeks following the event, Remedy has shared a little more about their trip to Shanghai and their presentation to attendees at ChinaJoy 2026. "At this event our Chief Commercial Officer, Johannes Paloheimo, took to the stage to welcome our guests, followed by CONTROL Resonant Creative Director, Mikael Kasurinen, and Art Director, Elmeri Raitanen, who talked about the game. We revealed the Chinese voice actors for Dylan (Sang Yuze), Jesse (Zhou Shuai), and Zoe (Zhang Qi), and the new, China exclusive, outfit for Dylan, the MIO Specialist's Robe.
"We were blown away and humbled by the in-depth questions, generosity, and passion of all our guests. Thank you once again to our guests for attending and showing your love, and also a huge thank you to our business partner who helped make all of this possible. We will be back in China... soon!"
Alongside the studio's post, members of the CONTROL Resonant team shared updates from their recent stay in China. Included in the list was lead actor, Sean Durrie, who recorded a tour of the customised press space...
