Xbox has lowered the prices of its Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscriptions, making the service more affordable. The decision has been received well by console owners, who had seen a hefty increase in service costs only six months ago.
Xbox's Game Pass service lets players access a vast, regularly updated catalogue for a monthly fee. For fellow players in the UK, the change means that the Game Pass Ultimate has dropped from £22.99 to £16.99 a month, with the PC Game Pass from £13.49 to £10.99 a month.
The decision has also brought in a catalogue shift as a result. The studio has clarified that, due to the cost changes, the new Call of Duty games will only be added a year after launch, rather than on Day One.
While it's nice to hear, why are we writing about it? Well, included in both Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass are two incredible Remedy adventures: Quantum Break and FBC: Firebreak.
For Quantum Break, the star-studded time-travel adventure was published by Xbox Game Studios, which also owns the IP. While not officially part of the Remedy Connected Universe, the developers have found ways to pay homage to the title and unofficially loop it in. The underrated gem is a must-play for Remedy fans who love a solid time travel story.
FBC: Firebreak is also among the list, and is the developer's latest released adventure. Set in The Oldest House, players find themselves on the Firebreak team, with up to four players in online co-op. The quirky FPS tasks its employees with settling the pesky and irate Objects of Power, and battling against hordes of Hiss as they complete their task list.
