Over the weekend, Remedy released an update for Alan Wake 2, covering all three platforms. The patch saw general bug fixes in the adventure alongside corrections to the localisation.
If you are playing the game on Xbox, it will definitely be worth double-checking that you are running the latest version before you dive into your next session. For that console, Remedy has fixed visual issues, UI-related issues, and problems with interactions. They also released a patch this evening covering additional fixes for the title.

Alongside sharing details of the latest bug fixes, the studio posted on social media, "thank you for the incredible response to Alan Wake 2. We are looking at all of your feedback. We will be addressing a few technical issues we have noticed over the weekend as soon as we can and continue to update the game." They also followed up, adding that they were "aware of the audio cutting off on Xbox and are looking into it."
Three hours later, Thomas Puha (Communications Director at Remedy) wrote on his Twitter page about a new patch specifically for the Xbox. If you're hoping for an audio fix, you will need to wait a little longer; in response to a question about the issue, Puha stated that "we need a bit of time to nail down the audio issue's root cause. We are on it."
However, the new 1.0.0.7 Xbox update does fix the bug that some players had encountered that prevented them from collecting an achievement after acquiring all weapons.
