Remedy & 505Games Reveals Condor,
The Next Instalment In The Control Series

Today, Remedy and 505Games announced a continuation of their partnership with a publishing deal for a new multiplayer game set in the Control world. The game is currently codenamed Condor, and while details about it are sparse right now, we got a new press release and a letter to the community from Control's Game Director, Mikael Kasurinen.

The press release, posted on the studio's investor page, reveals that Control currently stands at 2 million copies sold bringing in a revenue exceeding EUR 70 million, a strong start to a franchise that both 505Games and Remedy wants to pursue. Condor’s initial development budget amounts to EUR 25 million, with e development and marketing split evenly between the two companies.

In addition to the reveal of Condor, Remedy and 505Games have outlined high-level collaboration terms to further expand the Control franchise with a bigger-budget Control-game, with details still to be agreed and confirmed later.

Mikael's letter reveals the first concept artwork and expands on game, talking about his experiences with multiplayer, the work of the Vanguard team, and the potential of the FBC world. "...Control is more than one location, character, or story. We have more. Something ambitious. As today’s announcement stated, “have outlined high-level collaboration terms to further expand the Control franchise with a bigger-budget Control-game”. I unfortunately cannot go into more detail than that, but suffice to say, I’m extremely excited for the future of the Control franchise." You can read his full letter, HERE.
