Control Developer Diary #2: Introducing the Gameplay

Today Remedy uploaded the second episode of Control's Developer Diary, delving deeper into the studio's approach to designing the gameplay.

The latest video features interviews with a number of developers at the studio including Sam Lake (Creative Director), Paul Ehreth (Lead Designer), Mikael Kasurinen (Game Director), Anna Megill (Narrative Lead), and Thomas Puha (Head of Communications), as they discuss their different approach to Control's gameplay, how it compares to Remedy's previous work, the non-linear style, and player control.

Similar to the previous episode, five teasers were posted throughout the day featuring snippets from the developer interviews. [Anna, Mikael, Sam, Paul, Thomas]

In case you missed it: in the first episode, the team talked about how they approached Control's world and how they changed their approach to narrative while still focusing on the story. They also explored the protagonist, Jesse Faden, delving into her role at the Federal Bureau of Control, and her mysterious childhood. You can watch the video, HERE.

Control is set to launch in 2019 on Playstation 4, PC and XBOX One.
