A bit of information about the band: Poets of the Fall has had a long history with Remedy, which officially started back in 2003 with Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne. For the game, POTF created their first song, Late Goodbye based on a poem by Sam Lake. Later, the band returned for Alan Wake, creating the custom songs The Poet and the Muse and Children of the Elder God. Their song War, from their album, Twilight Theater, also made an appearance in the game. Their latest project with the developers has been with Alan Wake's American NightmareBalance Slays the Demon was created specifically for the title, and The Happy Song (which also appeared in the album Temple of Thought) also appeared in the game.

POETS OF THE FALL, PRESS RELEASE (FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE) MAY 26th 2016

The two year wait for a new Poets of the Fall album is almost over. The upcoming seventh studio album entitled Clearview will be released on September 30th 2016 worldwide.

The album will feature 10 new tracks. For the album, the band decided to team up with a producer for the first time in their history. Stefan Boman is one of the top producers in Europe, and became well known as the producer of the Swedish alternative rock band Kent in the 2000’s. “The sound of Clearview is a mix of grit and tenderness, it’s like a kiss and a punch in the face”, Boman reflects. The first single from Clearview will be entitled Drama for Life, which is set to be released on August 5th 2016.

In support of the new album, Poets of the Fall has announced the first shows of the Clearview Tour and will continue all the way thru 2017. The tour kicks off on September 30th 2016 with an album release show in Helsinki, Jäähalli/Black Box.

Tickets for the Clearview Tour go on sale on May 30th at 09:00 am (local time to each city). For the most dedicated and loyal fans, VIP Meet & Greet packages will be available in most cities. All the ticket purchase links will be available on the band’s website on the same date.

The Clearview tour is the most ambitious tour the band has ever embarked on during its 13 year long history. The band has a long list of achievements, most notably they have been granted gold and platinum records for sales in their home of Finland. In their music videos, Poets of the Fall has traditionally conceived worlds of sci-fi and fantasy. However, this is not the case with the visual aspect of the new album, which the band wants to be placed in the real world.

”I think it’s almost a relief that I don’t have to dress up in a clown suit again. I can just go out on stage and be myself. Our fans seem to like it too, that we are just ourselves”, vocalist Marko Saaresto says.
