Sam Lake's Masterclass / Max Payne, Alan Wake, Quantum Break [Information]

On Monday 1st February 2016, Remedy's Creative Director, Sam Lake, will be travelling to Paris to take part in a special Masterclass. At the event he will be discussing his career and talking more in-depth about Max Payne, Alan Wake and Quantum Break. The lecture is arranged by Video Games Magazine and the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie, in partnership with Orange.

Sam Lake is from Finland. After studying at the University of Helsinki, the writing enthusiast is invited by one of his friends to join the young studio Remedy to work on a game project called Max Payne. He wrote the screenplay and dialogues, assistance with designer certain levels and even lends his face to the iconic hero. In its sequel, Sam focuses on writing and, thanks to his ideas and innovative approach to videogame narrative, gives rise to certain sequences ever seen in a video game. Remedy then launches into a huge project: Alan Wake in which Sam is involved body and soul. Complex, ambitious, Alan Wake will become a cult play. Today, Sam ends Quantum Break, one of the most anticipated titles of 2016, which through its temporal paradox story, explores a new path by intermingling game and TV series.

During this special Masterclass, Sam, storyteller passionate and exciting, will return to his career, his fascinating approach to writing video game and share his memories of development.
